Revision date: October 3, 2026.
1. About this policy
This policy describes how data is processed when you visit etalongame.com and its subdomains, including en.etalongame.com and de.etalongame.com. Together, they are referred to below as the “website”.
EtalonGame is the name of an information project about games. In this policy, “website administration” means the people who maintain the project. For questions about data processing, email etalongames@gmail.com.
This policy applies to data processed in connection with the operation of the website. Third-party websites linked from it process data under their own policies. Individual features and integrations on subdomains may differ.
2. What data is processed
When you access the website, the server receives technical information: your IP address, the date and time of the request, the address of the requested page, information about your browser and operating system, and the referring page if your browser supplies it. Some of this information is recorded in technical logs.
Connected analytics and advertising services may receive information about visits and actions on pages, your device and browser, your approximate location determined from your IP address, the referral source and cookie identifiers. The information involved depends on the particular service and its settings.
If you email the administration, the sender’s address, the content of the message and any information you provide are processed. Do not send passwords, payment details or other information that is not needed to handle your enquiry.
As of this revision, the website does not collect email addresses through subscription forms or process orders, payments, bank card details or bank account details. If subscriptions or other features for collecting contact information are introduced, this policy will be updated before they are launched. Visiting the website or sending an enquiry does not automatically subscribe you to a mailing list.
3. Why data is needed
- To provide the website’s pages and features, diagnose errors and maintain security.
- To identify automated requests, spam and abuse.
- To analyse visits, referral sources and how convenient the content is to use.
- To display advertising and assess how it performs.
- To handle enquiries and reply to the sender.
Simply reading this policy or visiting the website does not constitute separate consent to a mailing list and does not replace consent to data processing where applicable law requires it.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small pieces of data that your browser stores at the request of the website or a connected service and may send with subsequent requests. The website may also use browser local storage to save feature settings.
Technical cookies support features and security measures. Analytics cookies help assess visits and interactions with pages. Advertising cookies and identifiers may be used to display and measure advertising, limit repeated displays and, depending on the service’s settings, personalise advertising.
Cookies and other identifiers may constitute personal data or be used together with it. Visiting the website therefore does not guarantee complete anonymity.
You can delete stored cookies and restrict their use through your browser’s settings. This may affect some features. Deleting cookies does not automatically delete information already received by the server or a third-party service. Where particular processing requires consent, that consent must be requested separately; this policy is not itself a mechanism for obtaining consent.
5. Connected services
The following integrations have been identified on the main website:
- Google Tag Manager — managing the integration of tags and scripts.
- Google Analytics 4 — analysing visits and actions on the website.
- Yandex Metrica, including Webvisor — visit statistics and analysis of interactions with pages, including clicks, scrolling and replay of visitors’ actions.
- Google AdSense — displaying and measuring advertising.
- Adfinity — integrating an advertising platform and displaying advertising involving its partners.
The integrations used on subdomains may differ. Service providers may process technical information and identifiers on their own infrastructure, including outside the visitor’s country. The conditions of their processing and retention periods are also determined by the providers’ rules and integration settings.
Further information: Google’s privacy policy, Yandex’s privacy policy and the Adfinity website.
6. Transfer of and access to data
Technical data is processed by the infrastructure that operates the website. When analytics and advertising scripts load, the relevant information may be sent to those service providers. Email enquiries are also processed by the Gmail email service.
The administration uses access to data for the purposes stated in this policy. Data may be provided to authorised authorities in cases prescribed by applicable law.
7. Retention periods
The retention period is determined by the purpose of the data. Technical logs are used to diagnose problems and protect the website, and are deleted as the logs are rotated. If a particular incident needs investigation, relevant information may be kept for the duration of that investigation and the protection of legitimate interests.
Correspondence is retained while an enquiry is being handled and afterwards for as long as it is needed for related questions, to confirm the outcome or to meet legal obligations. Once these purposes no longer apply, the data is to be deleted.
The lifetime of cookies depends on their purpose and the service’s settings. Session cookies are usually deleted at the end of a session; persistent cookies are deleted when their set lifetime expires or the user removes them. Retention periods for analytics and advertising data depend on the relevant providers’ settings and rules; they do not automatically match the retention periods for server logs.
8. Data security
The website is protected through HTTPS connection encryption, restricted administrative access and measures against automated abuse. Absolute security of data transmission and storage cannot be guaranteed.
9. Data-related enquiries
For questions about data processing, or requests for access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or withdrawal of previously given consent, email etalongames@gmail.com. Enquiries are handled in accordance with applicable law.
Explain which feature or enquiry your request concerns. To protect data, confirmation that the request relates to you may be needed. Do not send copies of documents unless separately requested with justification.
Some technical records cannot reliably be associated with a particular person. In such cases, the administration will explain the limitations on fulfilling the request. Withdrawal of consent applies to processing based on consent; it does not affect the lawfulness of processing already carried out or mean that information which must be retained on other applicable grounds will be deleted. Where you have the relevant right, you may contact the competent data protection authority.
10. Changes to this policy
The current version is published on this page with its revision date. The policy is updated when processing purposes change or new features are launched. If changes require a separate notification or fresh consent, publishing the updated text does not replace those steps.
