Crimson Desert Patch 2.04.08 targets frame drops, crashes and sailing bugs

The update is available on Steam and PlayStation

Pearl Abyss released Crimson Desert patch 2.04.08 on November 6. It reduces frame-rate drops in certain areas, with further work planned on drops occurring in particular situations and content. The patch is already available on Steam for PC and Mac and on PlayStation. The Xbox, Epic Games Store and Mac App Store versions are still in progress.

The update fixes PS5 crashes during certain cutscenes. On Mac, it addresses a crash after defeating a boss that prevented further progress. Another fix concerns crashes when approaching a castle or management facility with a large amount of flooring placed. The patch also fixes unresponsive controls and the inability to dive again in certain underwater caves.

Sailing fixes cover a ship’s wheel that did not rotate while steering and ships spawning on an island after loading a save near an anchorage. A quest could also fail to complete after a successful proposal to a witch. In Free Construction mode, the patch fixes houses disappearing in certain situations and indoor objects vanishing after selecting Undo Changes. Deleting a room now brings up a confirmation prompt.
