Final Fantasy VII Revelation will connect obtaining summons with exploring its world, director Naoki Hamaguchi has explained. Players will encounter summon-related content directly in the different areas.
Knights of the Round is tied to Gilgamesh's story. Developing chocobos will also open access to additional parts of the world map.
The Highwind and chocobos will make it easier to reach chosen destinations. Hamaguchi said those locations still present environmental challenges, story triggers and character interactions once players arrive.
