Path of Exile 2 Reveals two new acts, classes and a castle-conquering league

Grinding Gear Games details version 1.0 ahead of its planned December 11 release

Grinding Gear Games detailed Path of Exile 2’s full-release content at ExileCon on November 6. Version 1.0 will complete the campaign with Acts 5 and 6, adding 24 areas and 18 unique bosses. The free-to-play full release remains scheduled for the previously announced December 11 date in Pacific time.

Two new classes, the Shadow and Duelist, introduce their own weapons and combat mechanics. The Shadow uses daggers, traps and stealth that empowers its skills. The Duelist wields swords and switches between stances that modify attacks. Each class will launch with two Ascendancy classes.

The Conquerors of Wraeclast league lets players recruit an army, rescue allies and assault enemy fortifications. More than 70 new points of interest offer missions and opportunities to recruit troops. In the endgame, players choose one of three factions, establish a stronghold and send commanders to progress through the Atlas. Members of the same faction can work together to capture castles held by rival factions.

The update also introduces more than 40 unique items and reworks over 70 existing ones. Support gems, several classes and the passive skill tree receive changes, with jewel sockets moving into skill clusters.
