Intel expects Nova Lake to have twice as many PC-maker design wins at launch as Panther Lake had at its debut. CEO Lip-Bu Tan outlined that forecast on the company’s October 29 earnings call. Intel plans to share more details about Nova Lake at CES in January.
In his prepared remarks, Tan called Nova Lake Intel’s first client product using its 18A-P manufacturing process. He said development was running ahead of schedule.
Intel also reported a slowdown in the PC market, citing memory availability and prices alongside limited IT budgets. Tan said its PC partners were reducing inventories in response to weaker demand from end customers.
The company has already ramped Panther Lake on 18A and says demand for Wildcat Lake exceeds supply. On the server side, Diamond Rapids on 18A-P is sampling, with Intel planning to ramp production in 2027.
